We are representing an expanding Cost Consultancy who are headquartered in New York but have opened offices across the US. This organization has had extreme early success since its inception due to their strong relationship with leading blue-chip companies. This firm prides itself on its culture and this can be likened to that of some of the world's leading high-tech clients who they work with extensively. The current business owners are extremely hands-on are already on the trajectory to become one of the leaders in Cost Management in the USA.

Our client is looking for best-in-class Cost Manager to join their growing Houston office. This is not just a regular “Cost Manager” role, as this organisation is still in its infancy there is an opportunity to become part of this early and ride the wave, progressing quickly and performing well above your level.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Handle the day-to-day oversight and execution of projects.
  • Create Order of Cost Estimate, Cost Plan, Tender Documents, and Contract documents following the company's established protocols.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to Cost Meetings.
  • Communicate with Contractors regarding cost reports, planned versus actual costs, changes, variations, and address any disputes that arise.
  • Utilize and maintain the Platform to manage and communicate cost-related matters effectively within a project.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager during the construction phase to assess provisional sum schedules and CDP schedules, ensuring updates are accurately documented and shared with all relevant parties.
  • Conduct monthly assessments as needed, subject to review by senior personnel, and contribute to the preparation and settlement of final accounts.
  • Handle change requests under appropriate guidance.
  • Generate required monthly reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction and/or contract management.
  • Experience working on corporate interiors and commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Pre and Post contract experience.
  • US citizenship or existing/transferable right to work in the US or eligibility for an E2 or E3 visa.
