**What is a Cost & Rate Analyst?**
A Cost & Rate Analyst works within the Cost & Rate division of the Regulatory Affairs team and performs analyses, studies, reports and filings with regulatory agencies to support the Companys cost recovery efforts. This analyst works closely with other departments within the Company as well as with regulatory agencies.
**What does a Cost & Rate Analyst do?**
+ Analyzes and designs electric and gas delivery rates
+ Develops monthly commodity and commodity-related prices
+ Represents department in regulatory proceedings including preparing and presenting expert testimony as needed
+ Assists in the development of customer, sales and revenue forecasts for annual business plan purposes
+ Performs economic and financial analyses of various electric and gas business initiatives
+ Assists in writing and implementing tariff amendments to conform with regulatory orders
+ Performs economic and financial analyses of various electric and gas business initiatives
+ Compiles and analyzes financial and sales data in the preparation of reports and filings with regulatory agencies
+ Provides support for storm restoration efforts
**What does it take to be a Cost & Rate Analyst?**
**Required:**
+ Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or a related field of study will be considered. In lieu of bachelors degree, an associates degree in the aforementioned fields and 3+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
+ Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, computer and written/verbal communication skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to work individually or as a team (with internal team members or cross functional teams)
+ Ability to adapt to a variety of assignments and manage a number of projects in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment
+ A valid drivers license
**Preferred:**
+ Masters degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or related degree
+ Prior experience in the electric and/or gas utility industry or related field

Pay range: $51,400-$144,900
