DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will be assigned families to assist with supervised visitation, parenting techniques, transportation to appointments, housekeeping skills, and budgeting under the supervision of a Casework Supervisor. You will be responsible for supervising children and demonstrating appropriate role modeling of parenting techniques, as well as providing helpful ideas and suggestions to caregivers during appointments and supervised visitation. You will function as a valuable asset to the casework team by working with the caseworkers to ensure that services are provided as listed in the family's service plan or via court orders. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other community resources and social service agencies to coordinate the care of children and their families as prescribed. Within this role, it is essential to maintain appropriate documentation of services and activities that have been completed. Some evening and occasional weekend work is required to accommodate the schedule of children and families. The County Social Services Aide 1 is a valuable and respected member of the team at Huntingdon County Children's Services. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment + Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. + This position requires some flexibility. Work time will be adjusted to accommodate program needs such as visitation, appointments, and other related obligations.
