Responsibilities What to Expect Responsible for the overall operations and administration of the Courier program. Responsible for the administration of a training program for employees. Performs a full complement of cash collection and mail courier duties, as necessary. Maintains complete and systematic set of records on all cash transactions. Supervise on a daily basis in answering questions, resolving problems which arise, training new employees and insuring the smooth flow of operations. Responsible for recording information on various reports for accuracy, accountability, and security. Reviews all received Property documents for proper asset identifiers, signatures, quantities and prices; corrects routine discrepancies on own initiative, reports major discrepancies to supervisor. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25lbs independently and objects over 25lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Three years experience that demonstrates knowledge of the basic principles and techniques of counting, handling and transporting large sums of money on a repetitive basis and making rapid and accurate mathematical calculations. One year supervisory experience preferred. Must have the ability to supervise or lead employees in the accomplishment of work. Knowledge in asset tracking and property account reconciliation processes. Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service procedure/regulations. Must possess a valid driver's license and have knowledge of applicable motor vehicle safety regulation in the operation of several types of vehicles. Ability to operate a motor vehicle with approximate gross weight (GVW) up to 10,000 lbs. to transport items.
