With approximately $3 billion in sales and 4,000 employees worldwide, we have a material presence in more than 20 countries.Position SummaryTo unload incoming supply of logs and keep a constant flow of logs to drum debarkers.If interested in this position, please upload a resume.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate Gantry Crane and perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment, Perform routine maintenance on mobile equipment (knuckleboom) if used that day.Complete mobile equipment operator's report daily. Notify maintenance department and/or shift team leader of operating deficiencies noted during inspection, Unload log trucks and place into wood storage inventory as directed by scaler.Remove logs from wood storage and place in drum debarker., Maintain communication with scaler and strander operator.Coordinate work activities with Wood Procurement Department to maintain woodyard inventory control program, Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.Train others on safe and effective crane operation, Complete all necessary reports on a daily basis.Working Conditions / Knowledge/SkillsWorking Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions often exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, grease, oils, dust and dirty working conditions. Work involves standing, climbing, walking on elevated catwalks and inactive conveyors and occasionally lifting heavy objects (50 lbs. or more).Knowledge/Skills: High School Diploma or GED.
