Job SummaryThe Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.Job ResponsibilitiesCrane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forkliftsProduct Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devicesShipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completedLoading Procedures: Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailersAdditional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operationsQualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environmentCertification: Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is requiredEducation: High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceRegulations Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weightSafety and Procedures: Ability to follow safety protocols and operational proceduresDependability: Reliable with a strong work ethicLearning and Training: Willingness to learn new skills and train othersPhysical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobilityReliability: Demonstrated reliable work historyAttention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks```{=html}```Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
