The New York City Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated, and creative individual to join the NYC Department of Transportation's Office of Press and Communications as Creative Director. The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller, a strategic thinker, an experienced social media professional, and possesses an outstanding sense of humor. The Creative Director will develop and execute, across communications channels, the creative vision for the agency's communications. The Creative Director will oversee the creative direction for all external agency communications, with a particular focus on social media. The Creative Director will also advise on creative strategy for marketing, graphic design, videography and photography, and other related work. The candidate will be the lead social media content creator and supervise the NYC DOT social media team. The Creative Director will develop fun, engaging, and innovative ideas and concepts that align with Office of Communications and agency goals and will collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective execution.

Minimum Qualifications
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory, full-time experience related to the projects and policies to be studied in the particular position.

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
