Closing Date: December 17, 2024 at 4PM MSTSalary Range: $21.17 - $25.62/hour**APPLICANT MUST HAVE A VALID, UNRESTRICTED INSURABLE DRIVER'S LICENSE****RESUMES AND REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED**ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with maintaining the Contract Nursing Services Position Control Number (PCN) master for all nursing positions under the appropriate nursing department by ensuring that each position within the Division of Nursing is accounted for and designated as Filled , Contract in lieu of. Or Vacant . Assists with coordinating and preparing Personal Services Contracts and non-PCS contracts for nursing services. Ensures purchase orders are properly coded with correct PCN, and accounting data. Works closely with Human Resources on vacant positions and new hires in the Nursingdivision. Assists and requests for Temporary Nursing Staff through the VendorManagement System by coordinating with the Nurse Executives under the NursingDivision. Coordinates with the Housing Department for housing assignment for the temporarycontract staff, students and Resident Nursing Staff. Assists by providing administrative support and coordinates the credentialing process forthe Nursing Division by developing and maintaining CMS accreditation; Evaluate nursing files by verifying current licensure and ensuring compliance with CMSrequirements, FDIHB credentialing policies and FDIHB Bylaws. Assists with the background research on all approved applicants for temporary hiring,which includes: Verification of education, training and experience Obtaining reference(s) from other hospitals and health professionals Verification of state license(s) Verification of malpractice concerns via NPDB and other sources Verification of Continuing Education for specialty services Verification of current competence and professional conduct through peerrecommendations. Verification that all immunization requirements for the facility is met prior toarrival. Notification of expiring license, and certification. Investigations as requested by the Nursing Executive Committee (NEC) and/or GoverningBoard Prepares and distributes NEC list for appointment, reappointment for permanent,temporary and consulting staff. Assists with the flow of the credentialing process in the Division. Receives telephone callsand visitors; screens inquiries, takes care of routine matters, referring contractors toappropriate personnel. Establishes and maintains an efficient filing system for the credentialing documentation. Prepares a variety of materials such as correspondence, reports, technical documents,requisitions, forms, meeting minutes and memos using automated systems. Receives reviews and distributes incoming correspondence related to the nursing staffcredentialing. Maintains control of correspondences and action documents to enablefollow-up status and /or progress to ensure timely action in accordance with establishedrequirements and deadlines. Pursuant to this Policy, applicants who meet the minimum qualifications for this position and who are enrolled members of the Navajo Nation will be given primary preference in hiring and employment for this position and members of other federally recognized Indian tribes will be given secondary preference.
