Credit Quality/Lending Analyst
Large Banking Client
Duration: 12+ months - potential to extend and/or convert FTE
Location: Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX
Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 Remote
Top Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Banking or a Lending space OR someone with a Business or Finance degree that is hungry to learn!
- Strong Excel Skills - Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Financial Knowledge - Lending, Amortization, Interest & how it accrues, etc.
- Go-Getter Attitude
- LoanIQ Experience - a plus.
About the group
Within syndicated and corporate lending for our client's LoanIQ Quality Assurance team.
About Role / Day-to-Day
Quality assurance.
Reading credit agreements. Verifying operational terms within that agreement.
- Pricing, interest rates, non-business day rules. Confirming that setup in LIQ system.
Primarily work on the backend of LoanIQ
- they're the last, post-close QA. Already gone through booking process
- Putting checks in place, everything is manual - Getting eyes on the credit agreement and LIQ system of record.
In production, clicking through screens making sure everything is right.
Will have to be willing to communicate out any revisions/errors that they find and need to be corrected.
Open to training someone and teaching them how to read credit agreements, which sections are relevant to pull out terms, teach to navigate LoanIQ system of record. Tab by tab by tab.
Top Skills
- Business or Finance degree OR relevant work experience in banking/finance
- Understanding basic financial concepts - how interest accrues (principle x rate x time)
- Know how amortization schedule works.
- Know the difference between line of credit and a term loan.
- Moderate Excel skills
- Vlookups, etc
- Great communication/soft skills – be able to connect with people, have a conversation, dig for information, critical thinker, draw conclusions, etc.
- Don't just be a question asker, but a confirmation seeker. Take a stab at things, critically think through that. More advanced than being nice.
- Organized with high attention to detail.
- Experience using LoanIQ – NOT required, but would be a big plus.
