This position has been segmented Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead a team of credit professionals whose primary responsibility is the credit and collection function of National Customers. In addition, the individual administers the credit policy and procedures governing the credit activities within the US Foods Credit and GPO policies. Also assists in managing the investigation of credit risks and approvals of credit terms extensions and limits.

MAIN INGREDIENTS OF THE JOB
Work Stream Responsibilities – 50%
Participate in processing credit applications by correcting credit linkages and approving new credit applications per the company guidelines.
Responsible for conducting portfolio reviews with the Credit Coordinators and giving fundamental guidance on establishing ways to find root cause delinquency and assisting in resolving those issues.
Oversee the bad debt reconciliation process including processing quarterly bad debts and submitting accounts to third party collections. Handle escalated collection agency/attorney inquiries.
Manage credit analysis and credit approval process
Manage reports including reviewing Credit Card report for compliance and compiling the Sox Audit report for the Credit Coordinators to complete. Prepare and deliver ad hoc
reports as needed
Ensure policy adherence by managing escalations for policy violations
Attend Sales Meetings as needed.
Meet with National Credit Manager to discuss credit expectations.
Addresses escalated weekend concerns
In collaboration with National Credit Manager, oversees daily operations of a team of Credit Coordinators.
Ensure Collection strategies follow previously approved GPO programs if applicable
People Leadership – 30%
Oversee and approve Credit Coordinators' attendance and approve time in Kronos.
Manage onboarding for new associates by establishing a 30/60/90-day onboarding plan including confirming training schedule with the Credit Instructional Designer/Trainer
Conduct one on ones with new associates and existing associates.
Listen to associates' feedback regarding goals via huddles and one on one meetings; identify associates development needs on an individual basis.
Coach underperforming associates, implement a Process Improvement Plan (PIP) as needed to improve performance.
Partner with the Credit Instructional Design/Trainer to ensure training protocols are established and delivered, i.e., cross training support work and standardized processes for absorbing new work into the shared services model. In addition, ensure the right training content and delivery approach.
Develop associates for success in their current role and future roles.
Provide coaching, best practice sharing, and identify developmental needs on an individual basis.
Ensure expectations both quantitative and qualitative are set and reviewed on an on-going basis.Participate in regular performance review discussions.
Foster an environment of accountability and celebrate successes. Ensure associates are set up for success in all aspects of their role including their development for future roles.
Ability to manage a larger team with varying skill levels from people managers to entry level individual contributors.
Ensure established training protocols are delivered for cross training support work and standardized processes for absorbing new work into the shared services model.
Motivate team and set aspirational goals through departmental leadership, meetings, and one on one communications.
Continuous Improvement/Project Delivery – 15%
Standardize credit processes utilizing automated tools where appropriate as well as fully understands and leverages this functionality to improve workflow efficiency and quality measures.Think strategically about new initiatives, participate in researching new technology selections.
Ensure adoption and review compliance to SOPs. Execute best-in-class methodologies such as quality performance, training initiatives and associate scheduling leveraged by driving operational efficiencies to improve workstream activity.
Build and foster a collaborative network within credit teams and the seller management with the purpose of strengthening alignment, sharing best practices, and driving effective communication.
Consistently driving for financial fitness as the cornerstone of effectively delivering the shared services model.
Establish and maintain well-defined hiring criteria and methodology and a selection process aimed at securing the best talent for customer contact roles. Collaborate closely with hiring managers and field leadership to ensure candidates are properly vetted and are an ideal fit.
Provides thoughtful leadership to internal customers and connect externally to hear the voice of the customer.
Develops, tracks, and shares standard KPIs for the team ensuring they are consistently driving towards excellence and meeting the needs of the functions and associates supported.
Personal Development – 5%
Update to personal Individual Development Plan (IDP) and prepare for check-ins with your leader.
Engage in formal US Foods performance management process.
Strive to learn and benchmark against industry trends as well as be engaged in industry peer groups.
Pursue other personal learning and development initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Education/Training:
High School Diploma or GED Required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Credit Business Associate (CBA) Certification preferred
Related Experience/Requirements:
3 years' experience supervising associates and leading onsite and remote associates required
3 years' experience working in Finance or Credit/Collections analyzing risk, approving credit terms, account reconciliations and managing portfoliosis required.
3 years' experience in using a variety of web based and mainframe systems to perform job activities is required.
Strong attention to detail, data entry experience required
3 years' experience utilizing D&B, and other financial & risk management tools required
Food service or similar distribution experience is desired.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Intermediate MS Office skills required with strong Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP and basic formulas required).
Proficiency in using a variety of web based and mainframe systems to perform job activities.
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate under pressure.
Ability to inspire, motivate, coach and mentor associates
Ability to assimilate information and present to next level team members, internal and external customers.
Ability to establish and communicate clear expectations and goals while providing direction on best practices
Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
Strong negotiation and persuasion techniques; critical thinking skills to manage complex problem-resolution abilities with ability to influence others during negotiations; ability to analyze data and situations to draw appropriate conclusions.
Ability to travel up to 10%

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 and $90,000 annually.
