Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated ICU RN to join our team, responsible for managing the nursing care of critically ill patients. You will work in alignment with established policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate patient care needs.
• Carry out physician orders effectively.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions appropriately using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and their families on care processes.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Follow Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience or alternative acute care experience.
• Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required.
• Current State of Florida license for Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire if compact license held).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
