An international agricultural products and services company, we handle agricultural commodities and have a diverse portfolio of products and businesses.SummaryPerdue AgriBusiness, LLC, has an immediate opening for a Crush Utility Helper at our Soybean Processing facility in Cofield, NC.To ensure the grounds, storm water drainage, and secondary containment areas in and around the Cofield Soybean Plant meet or exceed environment compliance requirements. The position will also support operations as needed in cleanup and housekeeping efforts.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain and clean outside areas, continually minimizing material that is exposed to storm waterEnsure all storm water drainage screens are maintainedMaintain containment areas and pump out as necessary, according to SPCC plansTrain in PIT operation and safely operate Perdue equipment including, but not limited to: forklift, dump truck, and sweeperDump all hoppers to minimize spillage of material on the groundAssist in equipment and building cleanupAssist in cleaning of bins and silosLearn operational areas and serve as backup to themUnderstand and follow the Perdue safety policies and proceduresPerform other tasks as assigned by managementMinimum EducationHigh School Graduate or GED preferredExperience Requirements3-5 years experienceReading, writing, math and analytical skillsKnowledge of environmental technologiesStrong interpersonal skillsEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the Agribusiness facilitiesclimbing vertical heights (0 -150').carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.).exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%)noise (50db to 100db)chemicals (MSDS sheets available).Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipmentPerdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
