Job SummaryThis position is responsible for coordinating the Community Service Restitution program.Major Duties* Coordinates the Community Service Restitution (CSR) program in accordance with court-ordered specifications.* Completes all admission paperwork for each CSR program referral.* Supervises, directs, monitors, and evaluates all CSR participants.* Maintains records of program participants, including hours worked.* Inputs all CSR program information into the electronic database.* Trains and evaluates volunteers and interns.* Recruits CSR work sites throughout the community.* Assists with other departmental programs as needed.* Perform any other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Knowledge of program planning and implementation principles.* Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, county ordinances, and department policies and procedures.* Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.* Skill in problem solving.* Skill in prioritizing and planning.* Skill in interpersonal relations.* Skill in the preparation of required reports.* Skill in oral and written communication.* Ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language.Minimum Qualifications* Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.* Must have at least one ( 1 ) year of experience.Supplemental InformationComplexity/Scope of Work* The work consists of related program coordination duties. The unique nature of each client contributes to the complexity of the position.* The purpose of this position is to coordinate the Community Service Restitution Program. Successful performance contributes to positive outcomes for clients served.Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentOccasionally* Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.* Adjusting or moving objects up to 5 pounds in all directions.* Operating machinery and/or power tools.* Driving a County vehicle or a personal vehicle.* Working small and/or enclosed spaces.* Light work that includes carrying objects up to 20 pounds.Constantly* Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.* Moving to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.* Communicating with others to exchange information.* Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.* Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.* Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.Other Requirements/Information* Must possess a valid and current Texas driver's license.* Drug and Alcohol Policy applies to this job.
