  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, or other communication channels.
  • Receive and process customer orders, ensuring all information is accurate and timely.
  • Provide information about services, transit times, and equipment, including specialized needs like lift gates or trailer types.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, resolving concerns related to billing, service changes, and transportation
  • Accurately enter and verify orders into the company's transportation management system (Truckmate).
  • Confirm orders and proactively resolve discrepancies or issues, escalating to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Make pickup appointments and coordinate deliveries based on customer requirements and service area coverage.
  • Track and monitor orders, providing timely updates to customers on shipment status schedules.
  • Identify and assess customer issues, providing appropriate solutions or referring them to the appropriate team for further investigation.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers, planners, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Utilize internal systems such as Orb-Com, BAMKPI, SharePoint, and Omni Tracks to monitor and assist with order fulfillment.
  • Maintain and update customer records, including contact information, service preferences, and order history.
  • Prepare and process documentation related to order changes, billing adjustments, and service discontinuance
Required Skills & Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of the transportation industry, specifically refrigerated LTL services, including equipment, transit times, and regional coverage. Systems Proficiency: Experience with transportation management software (Truckmate preferred), and familiarity with dispatch tools such as Orb-Com, SharePoint and Omni Tracks. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and empathy. Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in order processing, data entry, and documentation management. Problem Solving: Ability to assess customer needs, apply solutions, and seek assistance when needed. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry, particularly in a customer service or order management role.
  • Familiarity with refrigerated LTL transportation or related services.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office setting, using a computer and phone for extended periods. Occasional travel may be required for customer visits or team meetings. Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm Starting pay - $20/HR Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $20.00
