Get to Know Your Team:

  • Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all CT examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department's telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Have the knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
  • Able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment.
  • Independently performs advanced level procedures on adults, geriatric, and adolescent age groups and performs patient assessment within the scope of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and to triage routine and emergent procedures.
  • Actively participates in the training of other Imaging technologists and students.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT with Certification in CT.
  • Licensed by the Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray compliance State of New Jersey.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Previous employment as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Previous employment as a CT Tech
  • Leadership Experience
