CT Technologist - SIGMA : Job Details

750950 - CT Technologist - Rochester, NY - 13 Weeks Contract Sigma Healthcare team is currently looking for a CT Technologist to work at our client's facility in Rochester, NY.Shift : Friday - Sunday 4:30pm EST to 5am EST holidays, on call and callback per unit needsCT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities: :

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure tohelp them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (mustobtain PRIOR to starting position)
• Level 1 Trauma Experience
• 2 years of CT experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Preferred:

• Injectioncertification preferred-must be willing to complete during orientation process.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
