Job Description: Weekend Program Guidelines:\n\nEligible participants must work 48 weekends per year, 24 hours per weekend (either two 12-hour or three 8-hour shifts per weekend), between the hours of Friday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 7 a.m.\nMinimum of six months of experience required.\nEligible participants may use up to a total of 96 hours of a combination scheduled and unscheduled Paid Time Off (PTO) and Ill Time Off (ITO) on the weekends for a maximum of eight weekend shifts off in a fiscal year. Holiday scheduling and work requirements will mirror the department's standard expectations for non-weekend staff.\nWorking an extra shift during the week shall not offset a participant's obligation to work 24 weekend hours per weekend. Weekday hours will be paid at the participant's regular weekday rate.\nEligible for a 15% differential percentage \n\n \n Title and compensation will be determined upon education and experience level.\n \n Sign-On Bonus:\n *NEW Sign-On Bonus available* (for external and eligible candidates)\n\n$15,000 with 2-year commitment \n$30,000 with 3-year commitment\n\n Performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Rotates between two specialties.Responsibilities:\n\nEnsures all exams within his/her area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked through RIS system, all exams are properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed.\nAdministers PO, rectal and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to the administration of the contrast media required for the imaging procedure.\nDemonstrates a willingness to learn new skills and a willingness to educate others in their areas of expertise. Serves as a resource for new hires and students.\nDemonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient's fears and solicit their cooperation.\nDemonstrates a strong ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity and respect. Able to work as team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently.\nUtilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction and documentation of image data and completes procedures according to protocol.\nMaintains flexibility to work within different clinical areas to support the needs of the departments and/or business units to ensure that staffing is adequate to support services across the enterprise. Maintains assigned workflow patterns at site based on patient volumes and continually communicates with supervisors and/or managers.\nPerforms a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes.\nDemonstrates proper technique in venipuncture; demonstrates proper use of power injector according to set protocols set by department and/or manufacturer.\nIdentifies all patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universal protocol when performing procedures. Reviews patient history and assesses physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of data. Documents patient history in electronic record as required.\nPerforms computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration without requiring constant supervision.\nWorks as team member within assigned departments to expedite patient care efficiently by demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. Effectively communicate with physicians, co-workers, managers, and patients in assigned sites and/or departments.\n Completion of formal training in an accredited CT program required. When rotating between two or more specialties, must hold registry in each specialty. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:American Registered Radiologic (ARRT) OR Nuclear Medical Technologist (NMTC) OR certified by a CNMT program is required. Must maintain 2 imaging registries/certifications and maintain competency in all as required by hiring Business Unit. ? Must be willing and demonstrate flexibility to be assigned to any of the maintained registries by leadership. Must provide flexibility to work least one off-shift (evening, nights or weekend), every 90 days as requested by imaging leadership. ?
