JOB TITLE: Cultivation Systems Coordinator AUTHORITY & SUPERVISION:
- Reports to the Cultivation Manager with additional oversight by the Sr. Director of Operations
- Oversees Cultivation Maintenance and Fertigation Operations
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees Technical Cultivation maintenance, repair, diagnosis, and treatment
- Design, implement, and maintain fertigation systems to ensure efficient nutrient delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cultivation/fertigation equipment and systems.
- Ensure all fertigation and pest prevention/management processes adhere to Massachusetts cannabis regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of nutrient/preventative/treatment formulations, application schedules, and system maintenance.
- Schedule and conduct regular preventative maintenance on Cultivation/Post Harvest equipment and systems
- Assist in scheduling repairs and emergency maintenance for Cultivation/Post Harvest equipment and systems
- Assist in the scheduling and preparation for regular preventative pest management and cleaning procedures
- Maintain and operate Dramm Hydra spraying equipment
- Train IPM Technicians to properly operate and maintain Dramm Hydra according to company SOPs
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate records for maintenance requests and repairs, pest management processes, and pesticide applications in accordance with all applicable state regulations
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal audits and regulatory inspections regarding water usage and pesticide storage/application.
- Stay informed about advancements in nutrient technology, pest prevention and cultivation best practices.
- Assist in the training of IPM/Fertigation team members to ensure efficient and accurate nutrient application.
- Implement best practices for minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency. Ie: water/nutrient/pesticide use and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Procurement and Cultivation teams to maintain accurate inventory of fertilizers, additives, and other related supplies.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to test and evaluate new fertigation/treatment technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with Cultivation Management to monitor and analyze plant performance to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience working in the Cannabis Industry
- 2+ years experience in fertigation management, preferably in a regulated cannabis facility or in an equivalent supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of Massachusetts cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Certification or training in fertigation or advanced nutrient management, preferred
- Experience with automated fertigation systems such as Argus, Ridder or Aroya preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proven knowledge of basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Possess valid driver's license or state ID.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.
- Ability to work at height in scissor lift or on ladder
- Excellent organization and time management skills required
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Frequently moves up to 30+ pounds of equipment/materials/product within rooms (100 pounds with assistance).
- This job function may include being in a stationary position, or moving for extended periods of time.
