  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of professional cleaning experience in a casino, hotel, warehouse, or similar environment.
  • Ability to train on and operate specialized equipment such as the cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper.
  • Ability to obtain certification in Aerial Work Platform Operation and Safety.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Preferred skills:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • OSHA 10
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely perform job duties at heights of up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
  • Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Knowledge of Hospitality Industry Guest Service Standards.
  • General cleaning of bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, emptying garbage, cleaning working areas, mopping, and shampooing, polishing, cleaning ashtrays, and cleaning glass.
  • Deep cleaning of areas needing additional attention including floor treatments, high dusting, window cleaning, and pressure washing.
  • Accessing sensitive or Class III areas to complete cleaning duties.
  • Operate equipment such as the cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper safely and effectively.
  • Report to Custodial Shift Lead regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift.
  • Provide training to new Custodial Workers, fostering a positive culture and work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
