Hours will vary depending on the needs of the facility but are expected to generally be 6-8 hours per week. As the Custodian, you will:

• Perform routine work in cleaning and general upkeep of the facility.
• Dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop all surfaces.
• Clean, sanitize, disinfect, and polish restroom facilities.
• Collect and dispose of refuse.
• Clean ceilings and windows, inside and out, as needed.
• Move objects weighing 50 pounds or more such as furniture, tables, and chairs for occasional special events.
• Mix cleaning solutions per instructions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, which may involve driving on University business.

• Eighth grade education required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to understand cleaning chemicals and their application and dilution ratios.
• Ability to gain knowledge and skills to operate cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb a ladder.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
