A Cleaning Technician's tasks are varied, including, but not limited to, maintain floors, glass, bathrooms, and removing trash. Being a Cleaning Technician at Interlochen Center for the Arts provides many opportunities to work together on projects as a team with your co-workers and to also work independently. Taking ownership of an assigned building means that you make it yours. You decide the cleaning priorities based on the scheduled environment every day for all who utilize the building, of which you can be proud. You will develop a relationship with the faculty/staff in your building. EVS Management is always available to assist with any questions you may have.

Interlochen has a beautiful campus with tall majestic pines and both Green Lake and Duck Lake. An added bonus is experiencing students from all over the world playing instruments, vocalizing, dancing, or creating artwork. Although summers at Interlochen are fast-paced, there is the Melody Freeze where you can take a break and get a tasty ice cream cone on those hot summer afternoons. Interlochen Center for the Arts (ICA) is looking for outstanding people to fill the part time Cleaning Technician roles. Opportunities are available on the first shift in a part time capacity, working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7 a.m. - 3:30 pm. Lunch is included with each work day.

Major Responsibilities:

Each duty listed below can be done in a team assignment and/or an individual assignment

Any and all areas of a building (inside and out) are fair game for cleaning, adjusting, fixing, and attending to.

Safely operates vehicles and other job-related equipment

Ability to lift and/or load 50 lbs

Complies with ICA policies/procedures and acts as a good steward of ICA finances.

Respects the culture, diversity, and rights of all students, their families, and the community.

Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.

Performs other duties as assigned.
