Role and Responsibilities:

As a Floor Technician, you'll maintain and clean floors and baseboards at our facility, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment.

  • Perform routine cleaning, waxing, and restoration of hard-surface floors and carpets. Tasks include dust mopping, mopping, stripping, refinishing, and spot cleaning.
  • Use floor care machinery like buffers and scrubbers. Maintain and repair this equipment, including replacing parts and calibrating as needed.
  • Secure work areas with safety barriers, report defective equipment, and transport broken items as needed.
  • Check and maintain parts and equipment inventory.
  • Introduce yourself to customers, provide safety instructions, and ensure the area is left clean and safe.
  • Work with a diverse team, assist with supply deliveries, and complete assigned tasks and work orders.
  • Lift and move heavy equipment, read and understand chemical labels, and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with floor care and maintenance
  • Ability to operate and maintain floor care machinery
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical handling
  • Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude

Physical Demands:

  • Required to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.
  • Able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, grab and lift to fifty (50) lbs.
