Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/CustodianDate Posted: 7/15/2024Location: Martinsville High SchoolDistrict: Metropolitan SD - Martinsville - websitePosition 2nd Shift (3-11 PM) Preferrable (Determined by Head Custodian) 12 month positionPurpose: The job of the Custodian is done for the purpose/s of maintaining facilities for students, staff, and public in a safe operating condition; and resolving immediate operational and/or safety concerns. Duties and Responsibilities: -Overall cleanliness, sanitation, security, safety and maintenance of the facility, building, grounds and equipment -Inspects facilities, systems and their components for the purpose of identifying necessary repairs -Seasonal and special projects -Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the building Working Environment: -The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. The job is performed under temperature variations and a generally hazard free environment. Experience: -High School diploma or equivalent. -Valid Indiana Driver's License -Successfully completes required criminal history check.
