Custodian I - Full time (Weekdays, 3-11:30 pm) - Campbell County : Job Details

Department of Public Works - Custodian ICampbell County is seeking a full-time Custodian. The shift is Monday-Friday, evening shift (3-11:30 pm). General Service Areas/Conditions: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors where uncomfortable conditions exist. Work involves minimal physical strain. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Performs with excellence, the following tasks, including but not limited to:

• Sweeps, mops floor;
• Vacuums carpet;
• Cleans bathrooms, meeting rooms and offices;
• Keeps supply closets properly organized and stocked;
• Cleans windows;
• Dusts;
• Collects trash from buildings for proper disposal;
• And other cleaning tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Commercial custodial or related experience preferred
• Valid Virginia Driver's License and insurable under County's Policy
• Requires completion of National Incident Management System IS-700 and IS-100 within 90 days of employment.

Core Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of general commercial cleaning methods. Good interpersonal skills for interaction with building occupants;
• Participation in in-house training programs;
• Participation in other outside training as available;
• Basic understanding and ability to utilize the county's adopted software platform.
