Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/CustodianDate Posted: 8/16/2024Location: Austin High SchoolDistrict: Austin Public School District #492Austin Public School District is seeking to hire a full time Custodian. 8 Hours per day, 3:30pm - 12:00 am during the school year, 6 am - 2:30 pm during the summer. Responsible for performing routine custodial activities and routine grounds work such as:

• Cleaning the inside of classrooms, sweeping, vacuuming & mopping floors, washing desks and counters and washing white & black boards.
• Cleaning, vacuuming, mopping and sanitizing restrooms, kitchen, offices, gymnasium, etc. Strip & wax floors.
• Emptying garbage cans throughout building.
• Performing general maintenance such as: changing light bulbs, moving furniture, shoveling snow, etc.
• Event set-up and take down.
• Washing windows, walls, lockers, etc.
• Other duties of similar nature.

Candidate selected must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and be eligible for employment in an educational institution.
