Job Description :
QualificationsEducation: Minimum of High School Degree or GED preferred Experience: Minimum of two years of custodian experience. Clearances: Must be able to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check and Department of Human Services- FBI Fingerprints. Supervision Received The Custodian functions under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager. Supervision Exercised None Skills, Abilities, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must have an operating telephone, so that he/she may be contacted quickly by Goodwill when necessary
  • Must have the ability to interact appropriately and effectively with others, including co-workers, supervisors and clients
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and completely
  • Physical abilities required:medium weight work including lifting up to 40 lbsand occasionally 80 lbs , bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, dumping and walkingAbility to use janitorial equipment
  • Vision corrected within adequate limits
  • Must be extremely dependable in attendance and punctuality
  • Cognitive skills are required in order to learn the process in which to effectively clean and operate the equipment and the other tasks that are imperative to the job
  • Good judgment skills are required
  • Learn to effectively perform the cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Learn to safely operate the equipment as assigned.
  • Learn to safely use the chemicals as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the benefit of Goodwill.
