**Summary/Objective**

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for the dealership employees and customers in accordance with company policies.

**Essential Functions**

* Cleans work areas, empties trash, and collects scrap and used materials to process in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal regulations

* Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees

* Washes windows, glass doors and glass panels throughout service, sales, and customer areas. Arranges for contract window cleaning per direction and supervise the work of the contract window cleaning.

* Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floor on schedule: arranged for buffing or waxing and carpet cleaning per scheduled floor maintenance program

* Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines

* Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and restocking coffee and related supplies

* Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper supplies as needed

* Notifies supervisor of required materials and supplies to perform duties

* Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary

* Empties and cleans lunchroom refrigerator once a week

* Washes shop truck, interior and exterior

* Cleans forklift and power equipment

* Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, interior and exterior

* Removes all debris from dealership

* Maintains yard equipment and cleaning supplies

* Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedure

* Drains and disposes of used oil filters properly

* Removes and disposes of scrap materials as directed

* Assists Technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs

* Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer and in accordance with company policies

* Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management immediately

* Communicates with Supervisor if additional work is needed

* Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards

* Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct

* Understands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors

* Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements

* Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy

* Attends pertinent training on request

* Attends company meetings as required

* Other duties as assigned
