**Description**

**Wediko Children's Services/The Home For Little Wanderers is seeking a Custodian at their Windsor, NHlocation.**

**Job Summary:**

Custodial and housekeeping staff perform regular cleaning of the NH campus buildings, monitoring the general upkeep of the setting, paying particular attention to sanitizing protocols. Full-time, days.

**Essential Functions:**

* Directly reporting to the Facilities Manager and working under his/her supervision to complete assigned work tasks by cleaning, maintaining, and repairing specific projects or areas. This will include:

* Completing assigned projects necessary for regulation compliance and to a standard acceptable to the Facilities Manager.

* Notifying the Facilities Manager of necessary supplies and inventories.

* Following all safety regulations including wearing of appropriate clothing and safety gear.

* Providing snow removal and correcting other facility emergencies as directed by the Facilities Manager.

* Storing tools and inventory in accordance with accepted standards issued by the Facilities Manager.

* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

* Offering suggestions regarding facilities cleanliness and maintenance.

**Minimum Requirements:**

* HS diploma or GED

* Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

* Responds positively & appropriately to direction and feedback

* Ability to remain professional, courteous and flexible

* Valid NH drivers license with driving record that allows for use of Wediko vehicles

**Abilities Required:**

* Ability to walk the rugged terrain of the NH campus, an active wooded setting.

* Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time

* Ability to stoop, bend and kneel

* Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 40 pounds

* Ability to climb stairs

* Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
