Acts as a resource for the Physical Plant department and builds effective, strong working relationships to enhance department operations and functions.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provide support services to the department in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assists students, faculty, staff, and visitorsGeneral cleaning and care of assigned area; this includes but is not limited to classrooms, restrooms, office areas, entryways, hallways, and storage areasAssist in other areas as requestedSpecific assignments are based on unit need and assigned by the supervisor which could include such things as reading labels, mixing chemicals based on instruction, assisting in building security, maintaining supply inventory, using a variety of tools and machines commonly associated with custodial duties, and assisting with debris, snow, and ice removal from entry waysCompetencies:Organized, manages time effectively, and keeps tasks appropriately prioritizedAbility to work with, assist, lead, and take directions from others in the interest of moving processes and programs forward to the desired outcomeWork Setting:Expectation of on-campus presence with attendance and punctualityPromote personal safety, safety procedures, and a safe work environmentAssist with call-back situations as called uponEmployment at willFull-time status12-month appointmentNon-exemptAbout SWOSU:With locations in Weatherford, Yukon, Sayre, and online degree programs, SWOSU is one of the leading regional universities in the country.
