Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Custodian to perform a wide range of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide clean,orderly and safe environment. They are responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of an area(s).
Responsibilities:
+ Follows established practices to properly clean and sanitize restrooms
+ Ensures restrooms are stocked with proper toiletries and products
+ Assists with inventory control of products
+ Performs routine cleaning that involves, dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpetshampooing throughout facility
+ Follows appropriate guidelines in the handling of cleaning chemicals and/or supplies
+ Ensures that entrances to buildings/doors are securely locked when appropriate
+ Performs random checks on facility doors/windows when facilities not in use
+ Responsible for the reporting of unauthorized individuals within facilities/buildings to properpersonnel
+ Repairs and maintains power equipment and hand tools such as vacuums, buffers, pressurewashers, etc.
+ Performs minor maintenance as applicable
+ Properly cleans floors and applies floor sealer as needed
+ Routinely empties wastebaskets and ash trays
+ Handles and properly disposes recycled materials
+ Follows and enforces policies and procedures such as OSHA and safety regulations andguidelines
+ Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Requirements
+ One (1) year of custodial experience preferred
+ High school diploma preferred
+ Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including,but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiencyin the English language may be required
+ Computer proficiency required
+ Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
