Custodian Level: IIBuilding Location: Discovery Middle SchoolHours per Day: 8Shift Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMEssential FunctionsCleans, scrubs, strips, waxes, buffs and sweeps floors; vacuums carpets; responds to emergency clean-ups; replaces lights and ballasts; performs minor plumbing repairs.Maintains and performs minor equipment repairs; assists with major equipment repairs.Maintains security, locks and unlocks doors with keys and computer operated systems; monitors building automation and H-Vac systems; monitors boiler operations and boiler log.Restocks cleaning supplies; loads and unloads trucks at receiving dock.Sets-up buildings, Performing Arts Center and grounds for activities to including sporting events; assists students, faculty, coaches and members of the public as required.Performs ground maintenance, trash, snow and ice removal; applies salt/grit mixture to sidewalks and entries.Cleans entire school during summer months.
