McMinnville, OR Job Type: Classified Job Number: C69330 Division: 131410 College Support Services Department: 131410 Capital Projects & Facilities Opening Date: 12/04/2024 Closing Date: 12/19/2024 11:59 PM Pacific POSITION SUMMARY Perform custodial services on night shift at our Yamhill Valley Campus location in McMinnville, Oregon, following established procedures. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESCustodial Duties
  • Sweeps/scrubs/waxes/ polishes concrete, vinyl, tile and wood floors
  • Vacuums rugs/ carpets in offices/ rooms
  • Cleans/dusts walls, chalkboards, furniture, woodwork and other equipment
  • Picks up paper and other refuse on grounds
  • Sweeps walks and entrances
  • Washes/ scrubs/disinfects/supplies restrooms
  • Empties/cleans waste containers
  • Cleans windows, door glass and drinking fountains
  • Cleans/polishes metal work such as door panels and hand railings
  • Replaces light bulbs and maintains equipment used in course of work
Other Department Responsibilities
  • Moves/rearranges chairs, tables, desks, furniture and other equipment
  • Operates college owned vehicles and equipment
  • Completes cleaning and routine maintenance of buildings and grounds as required
Safety & Security Reporting
  • Reports safety/sanitary/fire hazards to supervisor
  • Assists in maintaining security of buildings and college equipment
Other Functions
  • May clean up blood and body fluid spills as needed using prescribed hazardous spill procedures and guidelines

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONSCHEDULE & MODALITYHours: 5:00PM - 1:30AM Monday Through Friday This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
  • This is a 100%, 12-month classified assignment of the A2 band and grade
  • Please note: The college is currently undertaking a comprehensive classification and compensation study. No employee will lose base pay because of this study, however, classification titles and pay grades may change. The successful candidate will receive notice of all changes prior to implementation which is currently projected for the Winter of 2024.
  • This position has a 6-month probationary period
  • All positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college.
  • Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may require the use of your personal vehicle for transportation between campus locations
  • If requested, requires the provision of official transcripts upon hire
  • Employees must maintain Oregon, Washington or Idaho residency as a condition of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Medium Work:Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
