We may close the application filing window without prior notice.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGMaintain County offices, hospitals, health and correctional facilities, institutions, and buildings in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.Empty trash containers.Clean horizontal and vertical surfaces (e.g., desks, countertops, walls, vents), floors, furniture, fixtures, and glass surfaces (e.g., windows, glass doors).Restock supplies (e.g., toilet papers, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, feminine products).Transport biohazard items (e.g., syringes, needles, plastic, pills, bloody items, linens, bodily fluids) that have been prepared by the medical staff/team to the designated area and replace with an empty biohazard container.Dilute cleaning solutions per manufacturer's recommendation to achieve desired effect.Report building maintenance or repair needs (e.g., burned-out light bulbs, leaking faucets and valves, clogged restroom fixtures and drains, inoperable doors, locks, latches) and supply needs.Hang privacy curtains.WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:No training or experience is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:PHYSICAL CLASS III - MODERATE: This class requires that the incumbent stand or walk most of the time with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, working on irregular surfaces, occasional lifting of objects weighing over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.LICENSE:A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.HOW TO APPLY:Ready to join us? Although there are no requirements to qualify for this job, you MUST be willing and able to perform job-related tasks, included in the Willingness Questionnaire (questions 4-6), to proceed with the following exam process:A Training & Experience (T&E) evaluation, weighted 100%, measuring:Experience working as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning staff.Only applicants who achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on the T&E will be placed on the eligible list.During the hiring process, you may be invited to an in-person qualifying English exam covering listening skills.ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION:We process applications as we receive them. If you pass the assessment, we will place you on a list for twelve (12) months.
