In this role, you'll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the City's buildings, ensuring that all custodial tasks meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations and procedures.Note: To ensure the safety and security of the Bothell Police Department building, a comprehensive background check will be initiated for the top candidate, which includes a criminal background check and an in-depth series of personal questions. What will you do in this position?Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of City buildings and facilities using various cleaning supplies including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing floors, and shampooing carpets. Apply, inspects, and maintain equipment and tools. Handle office furniture and equipment, arranges meeting rooms, and supports event setup and teardown.Address emergencies as directed, manages various types of spills, and acts as the on-call janitor for facility concerns.Perform minor repairs to buildings and fixtures, including changing light bulbs and lighting tubes.A successful candidate in this position will:Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
