As part of the Property Management team, Custodians are responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of Comprehensive's facilities. This includes sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, mixing & using custodial chemicals, replacing lights, snow removal, lawn mowing, trash & debris removal, emergency clean-up, and other duties to ensure that each of our buildings is neat and presentable. Custodial work may require the use of power tools such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other equipment. This position is best suited to someone with excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, and high attention to detail. Previous experience with janitorial or custodial work is helpful for this position. This position has a Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 7am to 4pm. Local travel throughout the workday is expected, as well as flexibility to support multiple Comprehensive Healthcare buildings, including filling in at other facilities when needed. Custodian duties may include:
- cleaning all areas of facilities as assigned, including restrooms and food service areas, following the proper procedures
- operating custodial & maintenance equipment or tools safely & responsibly
- responding to custodial requests throughout the day, as assigned
- securing buildings by providing lock/unlock services and performing safety checks & walkthroughs during key times of the day
- moving and setting up furniture for special events and meetings
- performing minor maintenance or repair of equipment and work area
- following appropriate procedures and documenting completed work using an electronic work order system
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience highly preferred
- Must have valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance
