Job Description

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Housekeeping Day Porter. This position performs various duties to maintain a clean environment that will include, but are not limited to:

* Maintaining facilities by vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors, cleaning windows, sanitizing counters and other surface areas, polishing metal, changing filters, removing and replacing sanitary supplies, and wiping down equipment.

* Stripping and waxing tile floors, shampooing carpeted areas, and dusting furniture.

* Maintaining restrooms and locker rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, walls, stalls, sinks, showers, mirrors and counters, scrubbing and mopping floors and by cleaning and sanitizing showers, mats and drains.

* Collecting trash and recyclable materials and dispose of waste or debris to keep buildings, offices, restrooms, and facilities clean.

* Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory and usage.

* Checking and cleaning equipment daily to ensure proper, safe operation.

* Checking and inspecting areas for hazards and spills to ensure a safe, clean environment.

* Notifying supervisor of supply and equipment needs and safety and maintenance concerns.

* Communicating courteously and effectively with other county employees, officials, and the public.

* Reading and understanding verbal and written instructions and product warning labels.

* Willing to work in all county buildings, including medical facilities and the Medical Examiner's building.

* Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator Driver License with an acceptable driving record. Regular, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for this position. Basic understanding and ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to lift, push and pull 20 lbs. Pre-employment physical required. Must be able to pass a background check.

Shifts include: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

* Recolectar basura y materiales reciclables y eliminar desechos o escombros para mantener limpios los edificios, oficinas, baos e instalaciones.

* Reabastecimiento de artculos sanitarios y monitoreo de inventario y uso.

* Revisar y limpiar el equipo a diario para garantizar un funcionamiento adecuado y seguro.

* Revisar e inspeccionar las reas en busca de peligros y derrames para garantizar un ambiente limpio y seguro.

* Notificar al supervisor sobre las necesidades de artculos sanitarios y equipo necesario y las preocupaciones de seguridad y mantenimiento.

* Comunicacin corts y eficaz con otros empleados, funcionarios y el pblico del condado.

* Leer y comprender instrucciones verbales y escritas y etiquetas de advertencia de productos.

* Dispuesto a trabajar en todos los edificios del condado, incluidas las instalaciones mdicas y el edificio del mdico forense.

* Realizar otras tareas que le sean asignadas.

Requisitos: Debe poseer y mantener una licencia de conducir de operador de Texas vlida con un historial de conduccin aceptable. La asistencia regular, confiable y puntual es esencial para este puesto. Capacidad para hablar, leer y comprender ingls. Capacidad para levantar, empujar y tirar 20 libras. Se requiere un examen fsico previo al empleo. Debe ser capaz de pasar una verificacin de antecedentes.

Los turnos: Lunes a Viernes, 6:00 A.M. a 3:00 P.M., y Martes a Sbado, de 1:00 P.M. a 10:00 P.M.
