- Responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and the general public.
- Responsible for reporting custodial/maintenance concerns to maintenance supervisor.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with co-workers.
- Provide professional and courteous service to students, staff and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and safe and proper use of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Perform heavy physical labor except for temporary disability.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with students, staff and general public.
- Experience in custodial/maintenance work preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience considered appropriate by the district.
- Able to pass criminal history and fingerprint background check.
- Emotional and physical stamina to perform the duties as required except for temporary disability.
Essential Functions:
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas as per daily schedule.
- Maintain equipment used in course of work.
- Maintain areas around trash and recycle containers.
- Perform other tasks as may be deemed appropriate by the maintenance supervisor and administrators.
Working Conditions:
- Required to use wide variety of cleaning compounds and related chemicals.
- Exposure to body fluid spills.
- Repetitive physical motion (e.g. sweeping, mopping)
- Constant standing/walking.
- Emptying trash containers weighing up to 40 lbs.
