We are currently growing and are looking for experienced individuals to support us in this endeavor.Job DescriptionGeneral cleaning of classrooms, offices, dorms, and athletic facilities in a university setting. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metal work.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs or as specified in contract.
• Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow or as specified by contract.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
• Sweep and pickup trash on the parking lot and entrances or as specified by contract.
• Cleans all sinks, commodes, and mirrors.
• Maintain janitorial equipment and supplies to ensure economical use thereof.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, and one to three months experience and/or training. Prior custodial experience strongly preferred.
• Must have ability to pass criminal background check.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Judgment must be used if items weigh over 25 pounds.
