You will also compile information from the customer, examine problems and give information or assistance to guests regarding products, promotions, availability, or pricing.What You Get to Do
  • Greet customers of the Grand Market as they enter the store.
  • Answer customer questions about products and promotions.
  • Keep the store environment fresh and abundant.
  • Ask customers about their experience at check out.
  • Cash management of daily sales.
  • Practice courteous, friendly customer service always.
  • Knowledge of product location in the store.
  • Face product for the best available view to customers.
  • Understand the proper use of check stand equipment (register, scanner, scale, printers).
  • Execute and follow all financial transactions procedures including, but not limited to, cash, checks, charges, credit cards, WIC, gift certificates, rainchecks, voids, and coupons.
  • Understand and implement all the current store programs, weekly specials, coupons, and ads.
  • Ensure proper vendor check-in according to store procedures.
  • Follow all policies regarding the sale of tobacco products and certain over-the-counter drugs.
  • Utilize correct cash handling procedures and maintain an acceptable level of variance in the cash drawer.
  • Maintain a clean and safe check-out area.
  • When requested stock shelves, rotate product per stocking instructions. Maintain checkout and front-end area by cleaning glass, floors, and shelves.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must Have Skills
  • Must have strong Guest service skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to define problems, collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to:
  • Talk and hear;
  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision;
  • Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;
  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to: A low-to-moderate noise level (offices). A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas). Moving mechanical and/or electrical components. At times may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
