Customer Service | Freight Inspector - Verstela : Job Details

If you are looking to transition out of warehousing or construction and into customer service this Customer Service | Freight Inspector role may be a great fit for you! A transportation company that specializes in the barge transportation industry is adding a Customer Service | Freight Inspector member to their seasonal team. In this role, you will be working outside and communicating with the CDL drivers to validate freight, inspect vehicles and process freight documentation. Customer Service | Freight Inspector Job Duties:

• Verifying, counting and measuring of inventory on freight trucks (outdoors 90% of your shift)
• Gathering data from the truck drivers as they come through and documentation of orders
• Inspecting, measuring and documenting vehicles being shipped to Alaska
• Utilizing a tablet to input data of freight and vehicles
• Provide customer service to customers and truck drivers

You will be successful in this role if you have a passion for customer service, are detailed-oriented and enjoy working outdoors.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (Overtime offered in the summer)Customer Service | Freight Inspector Requirements:

• Proficient in utilizing tablets/smartphones applications
• Experience using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel and Legible Penmanship)
• Willing and able to work outdoor in all weather
• Capability of reading a ruler and doing basic math
• Ability to use a step ladder to climb onto flatbed semis
