Job Duties

Virginia's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is looking for multiple service-oriented professionals to work as Customer Service Generalists in our Abingdon Customer Service Center. If you possess strong customer service and problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and want a career with growth opportunities, we would like to talk with you.

Job Duties Include:

* Communicating policies, procedures, and regulations

* Issuing IDs

* Processing applications

* Administering vision, driver, and in-car road tests

* Processing diverse vehicle registrations, titling, tax and fee collection, and other DMV-related services

Minimum Qualifications

* Customer service experience working in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Flexibility to work M-F and Saturday.

* Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

* Must have attention to detail accuracy and complete assignments on time

* Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid VA Driver's License with a driving record that reflects a sense of responsibility for highway safety and concern for the law.

* Driving records should have a point balance of less than six demerit points and no major convictions.

* Experience working in a team or group environment.

* Can lift 10 - 25 pounds
