This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 915 Anderson Dr, Aberdeen, WA 98520.

We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performing insurance eligibility checks and obtaining pre-authorizations with Carriers, and researching and resolving issues in order to receive maximum profitability for clients
  • Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary
  • Intermittent interaction with patients to resolve account issues

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ year of experience with patient registration, insurance verification, and/or prior authorizations within healthcare
  • Ability using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs
  • Ability to work full time onsite at 915 Anderson Dr, Aberdeen, WA 98520
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare and/or insurance billing or processing experience
  • Experience working with insurance websites
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to perform functions in Microsoft Excel (edit, filter, sort)

Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
