We are currently seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Representative (CSR) located in Atlanta, GA.Overview: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will provide customer service and direction to passengers while assisting them with their baggage recheck at international terminal operations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. They will engage with passengers who have questions, concerns, or problems related to baggage drop off and general questions about their travel through the airport. This role will require face to face communication regularly with passengers, airline staff, and colleagues. The approximate start date is January 6, 2025.Required Education:
Required Certifications/Licenses:
- Posses a valid, unexpired and unsuspended driver's license and also be able to pass driving test for driving on airport ramps
Required Qualifications:In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:
- Ability to work days, overnights, weekends, holidays
- Flexible to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary
- Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must be customer focused, detail oriented, and interested about the airline industry
- Able to communicate in a clear, polite, and friendly manner
- Must be comfortable working with computers and able to learn new computer programs
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to pass background check, security check, and complete training to receive a security identification badge to access secure and restricted areas of the airport
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Good empathy and listening skills to de-escalate situations and identify the underlying issues of a problem
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working as a customer service agent or in the airport is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Create extraordinary experiences for passengers through greeting, providing direction and helping passengers drop off their recheck baggage
- Assist customers in answering questions about their baggage and general airport related questions
- Assist airlines and other entities with passenger baggage concerns/issues
- Oversized bag handling - receive bags, scan the bar codes and deliver to correct pier
- Manual encoding - scanning or keying tag information to ensure arrival at the correct pier
- Comply with AATC and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport safety and security standards
- Maintain clean and safe work environments
- Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by the airlines or management from time to time
