Customer Service Representative - AUG - FPL Food, LLC : Job Details

SUMMARY OF POSITIONResponsible for assisting in the management of assigned customer accounts to include order placement and fulfillment, communication with transportation, production, and accounting departments. Works to assure the overall satisfaction of the customer.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSRetrieve and process customer orders via fax, email, and customer access.Enter orders in SOP.Call customers as needed.Coordinate with transportation department to ensure pickup and delivery when necessary.Verify received Purchase Orders for shortages/overages - deviation forms when needed.Communicate customer orders for inventory requirements and special customer requirements.Collect and report data on customersMonitor and communicate inventory levels with production and schedulingMonitor receiving Purchase Orders for shortages/overages - investigating and processing deviation forms.Process product liability claimsAssume a leadership role in the continuous improvement of all customer service activities. Effectively communicate through active listening, acting on input from others in an open, timely manner, while maintaining the appropriate level of confidentiality and encouraging others to do the same.Work with accounting department to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.Ensure facilities and departments are aware of customer expectations and issues through open channels of communication.Backup for Customer Service Manager as needed.Education & ExperienceCollege degree or equivalent experience.2 years of experience in customer service.Experience with food manufacturing company preferred.Skills, Competencies, & Other QualificationsProficient with PC's.Intermediate or advanced level Excel and Word.Mathematical/Analytical Skills.Travel RequirementsUp to 10%DISCLAIMER: The Position Description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
