The Community Donations Specialist serves as an ambassador for the mission of Home of the Innocents. This role is responsible for fostering community connections and supporting facility programs by managing the inventory, processing, and distribution of non-monetary donations. The Specialist also oversees volunteers who organize, sort, and stock donations, while building relationships with volunteer groups (e.g., churches, schools) to further support the organization's mission.Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with team members to identify outreach needs and cultivate relationships with programs.
- Oversees and optimizes warehouse and general storage spaces to ensure efficient organization, streamlined inventory management, and maximum utilization of available resources
- Develop and maintain a prioritized list of essential items for programs and communicate needs to the Communications Department.
- Fulfill program donation requests and coordinate with Procurement when needs don't match available donations.
- Maintain all Outreach reports and tracking for department and organization use.
- Oversee Market Warehouse Days and manage the transportation of donations throughout the agency.
- Support and oversee all individual and group volunteers in the warehouse and General Store, fostering engagement and positive relationships.
- Maintain upkeep of all online wish lists.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse inventory input, output, and shortages.
- Collaborate with the Community Engagement Manager on collection drives and outreach campaigns to boost impact.
- Manage the intake of all non-monetary donations and update the Outreach team representative on progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of Home of the Innocents as an ambassador, promoting its values and initiatives.

Education/Specialized Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, however not required pending experience.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with team members, volunteers, programs, departments, donors, and the general public.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
Physical and Work Condition Requirements:
- This job may have physical requirements that are considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
