International Customer Service Representative -direct-hire

Lake Zurich, IL (100% on-site)

Pay up to $54K annually

Responds to inquires received via e-mail and by telephone from established accounts and sales force relating to product and availability, shipping and general company information, as well as processes and coordinates all documents relating to international ordering and shipments. Must understand the many facets of international business to assure the highest level of service to our customers

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and process all international orders for products
  • Coordinate international shipments
  • Identify and prepare necessary export documents for delivery, cooperating with distribution department, and making sure of completion of a timely and successful delivery
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complete all customer quote requests
  • Set up and maintain customer database with accurate updates
  • Understand and interpret terms and conditions, special pricing agreements, and customer contracts
  • Recommend additional or alternative products or shipment solutions to meet customer needs
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist and support international department with marketing analysis, report writing, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinate International Trade Shows from the sign up to the set-up
  • Cooperate to the development of international marketing material, such as brochures, flyers, POP, monthly newsletter
  • Interact and cooperate with every level of the organization to ensure the highest level of service to our customers
  • Minimum international traveling (once or twice per year)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office program
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Second language a plus
  • Organized, efficient, result-oriented, proactive, problem solver, team player

JOB EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in business and 3 to 5 years experience in international customer service
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and general international sales terms and procedures

Salary commensurate with experience and adjusted after first 6 months based on results.
