Job Description: Customer Service Representative

Basic Functions

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for various customer service duties to create a positive internal and external customer experience. Responsibilities include inbound/outbound telephone activity and timely data entry of customer requests into Telguard.com for processing. General telephone support & inquiries for customers for Telguard activations & Telguard.com. Handle customer cellular service billing inquiries including: Telguard activations, invoice items, change requests, customer information/data requests, processing charge card payments and data input for the Telular billing system.

Additional special projects and other departmental assistance will also be a part of the job function. Associate must display a high level of customer satisfaction and efficiency.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma. Additional college or trade education preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years Customer Service and related work experience.

High accuracy performance for current Data Entry.

Developed Technical aptitude.

Professional manner of handling assignments & telephone calls.

Extremely detailed oriented.

Good working knowledge & constant use of computers.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Positive team player attitude and pleasant demeanor.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information to customers via inbound/outbound telephone calls and emails including but not limited to:
  • Billing
  • Collections
  • Registration
  • Account Information
  • Payment Processing
  • Light technical support
  • Demonstrate knowledge and use of Telguard Products including Telular billing system and Telguard.com.
  • Enter customer requests, such as registrations, deactivations, and changes into the Message Center system.
  • Enter customer payments into the Telular system, process customer billing information & changes, address various customer billing inquires.
  • Perform research to respond to internal and external customer requests.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Telular policies and procedures regarding managing customer requests.
  • Provide response to customer requests for order tracking utilizing Telular order entry and freight tracking programs.

  • Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience.
  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
  • Identifies problems and all relevant issues in a straightforward situation, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions.

Additional Responsibilities

Cross training across the department to include:

  • Filing of all paperwork within the department
  • RMA Processing
  • Billing/Collections

Physical

  • Ability to lift/handle files/file boxes and other materials
  • Use of computer
