The Customer Service Representative is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and can handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and professionally. A strong understanding of manufacturing environments and customer service in an industrial setting is preferred.Key Responsibilities:• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and greet visitors professionally and respectfully as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and employees.• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and correspondence, ensuring timely distribution within the manufacturing facility.• Assist customers with inquiries regarding orders, lead times, and production schedules, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.• Process customer orders, coordinate with production teams, track shipments, and provide status updates.• Maintain accurate and organized records of customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries, using ERP or CRM systems as needed.• Support office operations by ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, and coordinating with maintenance personnel for facility-related needs.• Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable follow-ups.• Collaborate with the production and sales teams to relay customer information, ensure order accuracy, and manage expectations regarding production timelines.• Handle general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document preparation, emphasizing manufacturing documentation and compliance tracking.• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area while following safety protocols in an industrial environment.Qualifications:• A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.• Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative roles is required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP or CRM software is preferred.• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and customer interactions.• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, order tracking, and production scheduling is a plus.• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.Working Conditions:• Office-based role within a manufacturing facility with exposure to industrial operations.• Must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE when required.• Occasional standing or lifting of light office supplies.Erie Industrial Products policy provides equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
