DescriptionThe Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George's County, Parks and Recreation, Aquatics and Athletic Facilities Division is seeking aCustomer Service Representative Supervisor for the Tucker Road Ice Rink. Candidates will responsible for the training and operation of the front desk and café staff. The schedule will be days, evenings and weekends.Examples of Important Duties* Provide a wide variety of technical support to Managers. Create, review, and submit computer documents and paperwork for approval and processing;* Assist in the hiring and training of Customer Service Representatives and Café Attendants with an emphasis on the understanding facility registration and point of sale software (RecTrac);* Relay messages and distribute mail to the appropriate staff. Maintain up to date files;* Help monitor necessary administrative supplies and materials to obtain timely replenishments for efficient operations;* Monitor the work area/facility with a conscientious effort to promote the efficient use of supplies and materials;* Supervisors must consistently display a positive attitude and remain knowledgeable of all facility activities and procedures. Greet customers, answer phone calls in a timely manner and transfer all calls to the appropriate staff;* Communicate with managers of any concerns and/or needs of the office and its equipment;* Supervise and provide assistance to designated personnel;* Open and/or close the facility as required and completing all security procedures;* Ability to understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions efficiently and effectively. This will include the ability to complete daily reports.* Effectively resolve any/all customer service issues in a timely manner consistent with M-NCPPC policy.Minimum Qualifications* College degree in appropriate field is desirable, and limited supervision and management experience is necessary for jobs involved in assisting in the management and supervision of a facility or supervising a small program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience equal to entry-level skills and abilities in providing assistance to career staff in supervising and managing a program or facility orcandidates will possess a High School diploma with two years of progressive customer service experience and cash handling experience. College experience preferred.* Knowledge of Prince George's County Parks and Recreation facilities and facility software (RecTrac), schedules, programs, fees and policies preferred.* Previous leadership, management and/or supervisory experience preferred.Supplemental InformationA criminal background check will be completed prior to hire.May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
