CNC Operators - 1st and 2nd Shifts! - The Arnold Group : Job Details

Pay Rate/Range: $16-27/hr Description: The CNC Operator produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine while following company rules and policies. Job duties •Reads and interprets blueprint designs of the product to be manufactured and sets machine to produce product/components to customer specification. •Programs router by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches, calculating requirements including basic math, geometry, trigonometry, proving part programs. •Sets up router to manufacture parts; loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. •Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample work pieces. •Makes mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements. •Periodically checks CNC machine to ensure positioning of drills stay perfectly aligned. •Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. •Maintains equipment through preventative maintenance; following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. •Abides by the policies, procedures and work rules established by the plant. Establishes and maintains Company housekeeping standards. •Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: •Ability to read technical manuals/blueprints/drawings •Critical thinking - once problems are identified, solutions and improvements must be found.
